IKEA OMLOPP LED Bar Mount – Simple 3D Printed Holder for 2020 Extrusion

I had an IKEA Omlopp LED bar left over from my old kitchen. Wanting to mount it above my soldering workstation and use it there, I couldn’t find a suitable clamp. After several tries, I designed one that securely holds the LED bar and attaches to the 20×20 profile.

The holder slides neatly onto the 2020 profile and includes a single M4 mounting hole, making installation quick and secure. It is helpful in maker spaces where aluminium extrusions are commonly used.

Printing and mounting

  • Material: PLA or PETG
  • Fasteners: M4 bolt and sliding nut
  • Supports: not required
  • Orientation: print on the side for maximum strength

Where it works well:

  • Workbench lighting
  • 3D printer frames
  • CNC or laser enclosures
  • Photography or video lighting setups
